For General Users

The Hokkaido University Information Initiative Center is running supercomputer system Grand Chariot 2 and the research cloud system. On this page, “General users” refer to people at universities and research institutes.

Services that can be signed up for online

Teachers, employees, and graduate students at Hokkaido University can sign up for all services online on the user administration portal.

Extramural people and 4th year undergraduate students at Hokkaido University must submit a user registration sign-up form to get a user number.

After getting a user number, you can sign up for the services online through the user portal.

How to sign up for user registration

Before using the systems for the first time, you need to get a user number. This sign-up is only for getting a user number. It is available online or via a sign-up form.

You can also make a request to add a billing number or change services.

• Online sign-up

  Teachers, employees, and graduate students at Hokkaido University can sign up on the user portal.
  After logging in with your SSO ID or ELMS ID, sign up for registration from the “Account Management” tab.

• Sign-up form

  Extramural people and 4th year undergraduate students at Hokkaido University need to submit a user registration sign-up form.

How to sign up for optional services

This sign-up is for the optional Supercomputer system and Research cloud system services, which are not included in the basic service. It is available online.

Sign-up for continued services

To keep using the user number and services through the next academic year, you need to sign up for continued services.
