Inter-Cloud package

The physical servers installed at Hokkaido University, the University of Tokyo, Osaka University, and Kyushu University are connected virtual-privately via the SINET L2VPN service and are provided as an Inter-Cloud package.

Inter-Cloud package

  • Inter-Cloud package (3 sites): One physical server at each of Hokkaido University, the University of Tokyo, and Osaka University
  • Inter-Cloud package (4 sites): One physical server at each of Hokkaido University, the University of Tokyo, Osaka University, and Kyushu University

The Inter-Cloud package selects one physical server from each site and provides them as an integrated virtual slice. Two types of services are provided depending on the number of sites included.

Hokkaido University and each remote site are connected via the L2VPN service of SINET5. Hokkaido University Information Initiative Center is connected to SINET5 at 100 Gbps by utilizing the bypass line between the switch of the Inter-Cloud system and the SINET connection switch. The connection to the upper switch of each remote site is 40 Gbps for the University of Tokyo, 20 Gbps (10 Gbps x 2) for Osaka University, and 10 Gbps for Kyushu University.

This Inter-Cloud package will be provided to joint research project adopters of HPCI and JHPCN. However, it will also be available to others if approval has been obtained from the Director and such use will not hinder the work of the adopters. For non open-type use, please consult us in advance.
